What type of server does ASP run on?
ASP is hosted on Windows servers with access to Access databases, ASP components and .NET up to 4.8 – newer versions can be used via Self-Contained Deployment.
We have chosen to host all our ASP suites on Windows Servers.
This means, among other things, that you have access to the use of, for example, Access databases and a range of popular ASP components.
At the same time, this allows us to offer ASP.NET on all our ASP hosting plans.
Our Application Pools run in 32-bit mode.
.NET versions
On our Windows servers, you can use all the available .NET versions. Runtimes are installed up to .NET 4.8.
However, it is still possible to use newer versions as well as .NET Core. It only requires that you publish the application via Self-Contained Deployment. We have described this here.
