What type of server does ASP run on?
ASP is hosted on Windows servers with access to ASP.NET (up to .NET 4.8), Access databases and popular ASP components.
We have chosen to host all our ASP suites on Windows Servers.
This means, among other things, that you have access to the use of, for example, Access databases and a range of popular ASP components.
At the same time, we can, because of this, offer ASP.NET on all our ASP webhosting plans.
Our Application Pools run in 32-bit mode.
.NET versions
On our Windows servers, you can use all the available .NET versions. Runtimes up to .NET 4.8 are installed.
However, it is still possible to use newer versions as well as .NET Core. It only requires that you publish the application via Self-Contained Deployment. We have described this here.
SQL Express
Unfortunately, we do not offer the use of Microsoft SQL Express (*.mdf files) on our web servers; however, MS SQL Server is included with our Standard, Pro and Enterprise suite products.
Web Deploy
Use the following information to access the Web Deploy service on our Windows servers.
Service URL: https://[webserver]:8172/MsDeploy.axd
Server: [webserver]
Site/Application: [domain]
User name: [username]
Password: [password]
It is important that you connect with Web Deploy 3.6+.
