ASP.NET 4.0 is not installed in Plesk by default. To add .NET 4.0, connect to the virtual server via Remote Desktop Connection and install it manually.
The easiest way to do this is by downloading the Microsoft Web Platform Installer here: http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx
In the Web Platform Installer, under <strong>Producs</strong> > <strong>Frameworks</strong>, select <strong>Microsoft .Net Framework 4</strong> and tap <strong>Install</strong>.
After the installation is complete, update the list of available components in Plesk. This is done under <strong>Tools & Settings</strong> > <strong>Server Management</strong> > <strong>Server Components</strong>.
