Ordering webhosting and waiting to transfer the domain

Order web hosting from Simply.com, develop on a temporary URL and transfer your domain when you’re ready – even without changing the nameservers immediately.

You are always in full control over exactly when the domain switches to Simply.com’s servers.

If you order a Webhosting plan, with simultaneous domain transfer, you can simply wait to approve the request to transfer the domain until you are ready. It is therefore not a requirement that you transfer the domain immediately.

Each Webhosting plan comes with a temporary URL.

In other words, the procedure can be:

  1. Order from Simply.com.
  2. Develop the site at Simply.com on the associated temporary URL.
  3. Approve the transfer of the domain from the previous provider.
  4. Cancel products with the previous provider.

Transfer without changing name servers immediately

It is possible to transfer the domain, but without changing the existing name servers (this is the default).
Thus you can transfer the domain from the previous provider, and wait to change the name servers until you are ready.

The procedure here will be:

  1. Order from Simply.com.
  2. Develop the site at Simply.com on the associated temporary URL and approve the domain transfer.
  3. Change the name servers to Simply.com via our DNS Administration.
  4. Cancel products with the previous provider.
