Administration of MySQL database
Manage your MySQL database via phpMyAdmin or the control panel, get external access on port 3306 and create extra databases in the control panel.
You can manage your database through phpMyAdmin, which can always be found at https://mysql.simply.com or via your control panel.
You can find your username and password, as well as the name of your database and server, in your setup email or in our control panel.
You can also make use of various administration programs, such as:
External access
All our MySQL servers can be accessed externally, outside our network, on standard port 3306.
A TLS connection is possible.
It is not possible, or necessary, to allow specific IP addresses.
Logs
Slow logs for your database can be found in our control panel. Slow logs show the queries that take a long time to execute, and can therefore be a great help if you wish to optimise your database's performance.
We do not log every single SQL query on the servers.
Creating multiple MySQL databases
If you wish to create multiple MySQL databases, this must be done through our control panel.
You cannot create additional databases yourself via phpMyAdmin.
Extra MySQL databases must be accessed with the same user as your other databases.
