HTTP‑508 means that your plan has reached its PHP thread limit; try caching, restart threads or upgrade to a larger hosting plan.
This error occurs when an individual web hosting plan has too many concurrent PHP threads running.
A web hosting plan can encounter this error if it is under attack or if the plan is not optimised sufficiently to handle many concurrent visits, e.g. from crawlers. The problem can also arise if poorly coded plugins are installed, or if there are heavy SQL queries running that the PHP threads are waiting on. Therefore, always ensure that cache modules and other features that can reduce your web hosting plan’s resource usage are enabled and installed.
You can monitor your web hosting plan’s current resource usage under the Website menu item in our Control Panel. There, under Resource usage, further details are provided on what you can do to alleviate the problem. Often the error code is simply because your site is outgrowing its current hosting plan with us, and you can therefore upgrade to a larger plan with more resources to resolve the issue.
You can upgrade your product to a larger plan with more PHP threads, thereby raising the resource ceiling. Upgrade your product via our Control Panel.
A temporary solution to the problem can be to restart all PHP processes/threads on the web hosting plan. This is done under the Website menu item.
