1-click installation of WordPress and other systems

Use 1-click in the control panel to install WordPress and other systems for free on your web hosting in about a minute – included in all PHP web hosting plans.

1-click installation of WordPress and other systems

With 1-click you can install WordPress and other systems on your webhosting plan under Website > 1-Click in the control panel. It is free and included with all PHP webhosting plans. The installation takes about 1 minute.

1-click only handles the installation. Simply.com does not provide support for setting up or using the installed system.

Installation

Select the system, fill in the login details you want to use, and select under Address / URL where it should be installed. Under Advanced setup you can select the database and table prefix.

If you install the same system multiple times on the same webhosting plan, you must select a new table prefix. Otherwise, the existing tables will be overwritten.

Keeping the current site while the new one is being built

Create a subdomain, e.g. test.example.dk, and select it under Address / URL. The current site will then remain online on the domain. We do not recommend installing in a subfolder.

When the new site is ready, you move it to public_html. WordPress has a guide for this: https://wordpress.org/support/article/moving-wordpress/

Domain not transferred yet

Select Use temporary URL in installation under Advanced setup. You can find the temporary URL in your signup email or under Administration in the control panel.

Once the domain has been transferred, the address needs to be corrected. For WordPress, this is done under Website > WordPress > Change Site URL.

Domain alias

If you have connected a domain alias, you can select it under Address / URL and install a separate system on it.

Login and updates

You choose the login details yourself during the installation, and we do not know them. Save them along with the links that are displayed when the installation is complete. If you have forgotten them and the system is not yet in use, you can simply install again on top.

You are responsible for keeping the system updated yourself. WordPress and many other systems can update automatically or notify you about new versions.

Uninstallation

Delete the system's files via FTP or File Manager and its tables via phpMyAdmin. If you want to start over, you can make a new 1-click installation on top of the old one.
