Setting up FileZilla

How to set up FileZilla to upload files to your Simply.com server using FTP details from the welcome email.

Download and install FileZilla for free from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1

  1. Open Site Manager.

  2. Choose New Site.

  3. Fill in the fields Host, User and Password, as instructed in the “FTP information” section of your welcome email (replace ue-example.com with your own domain). Under encryption we recommend selecting Use only plain FTP (insecure). Choose Normal as Logon Type.

  4. Select the Transfer Settings tab and tick Limit the number of simultaneous connections.

  5. Set Maximum number of connections to 3 or 4.

  6. Then click either Connect to log onto the web server immediately, or OK to save the entered details without connecting.
