Error 500 usually occurs due to .htaccess or PHP errors; check the log, rename .htaccess and fix the code or free up space.
Error 500 usually occurs when there is a syntax error in the .htaccess file on your Webhosting. Errors in .htaccess files can occur if your site has been compromised or if you or your CMS have inserted invalid commands into it.
You can check the log files for recorded errors; this is done under “Website” > “Webserver logs” in our Control Panel.
Optionally rename the .htaccess file to confirm whether it is causing the issue, then inspect and correct the file for errors.
The error can also occur if there is a PHP code error on the Webhosting (and PHP error display is disabled); this can, for example, happen if your Webhosting has run out of space or if code changes have been made. Ensure your Webhosting/CMS is configured to display code errors.
